I have this mouse, RMAd it due to double clicking issues, support had me go through several loops and recording videos etc to replace which took 2.5 weeks to replace. The replacement mouse suffered double clicking issues after 3 mo. Gave up on it, these mice have terrible switch quality control. I loved the G602 and bought this to replace due to getting used to the button mapping for games with 6 on the left side. Really wanted to love this mouse, if you're lucky to get one without double clicking issues, it's a great device with a really long battery life. The rubber also peels off after a few months and if you wanted to install your own reliable switches, you have to take it off and solder then glue the rubber back on since you can't take off the casing without remove the glued rubber
If your g602 is still working fine don't change. I had the. G602, its more comfortables (less sharper edge) and the mouse itself felt a bit heavier and better build quality. I changed to this because mine developed the doubleclick

I bought and tried this as an alternative option to that wired G502 that has a $30 deal up now.

The extra weight but even more so the unnatural feel and placement of the side thumb buttons was a deal breaker for me. YMMV of course.

I am still on G500 since January 2013 Smilie When it broke I checked that it was actually a wire so I bought a new set with a USB wire with replacement sticker pads for it. Still rocking it. great size, shape, weight.

Anyone have a suggestion for its replacement when it eventually dies?

I started having double click issues on the side buttons, which I have mapped to go forward and back for browsing...I had to duplicate the buttons on the bottom set, but it fixed itself after a while. No double click issues on the main top buttons though. Been over a year since I bought mine so I don't really consider this a long ownership and it'll probably still go bad.

I got this to replace my G602 that is having double click issues. Short answer is yes imo. They are similar in form and function. The lighter weight is less fatiguing. I do like the metal scroll wheel and the smooth scrolling toggle of the G604. I do need to get used to the thumb buttons since it is now concave vs it being convex on the G602.

I plan to get replacement switches for the G602 and swap them out. It'll be a side project. I'd keep using the G602 if it weren't for the double click issue. I'm just hoping there will be an optical switch version of the G6XX series or Logitech needs to make their mice more easily repairable.

My only complaint about these. If you put the computer to sleep and even look at the mouse it wakes up. Have to switch it off every time.

I read that it had to something with the switches that it uses and that it's the same switches from the last model that had the same issue.
