The math checks out that this is probably like last years BF deal for the reliant tires, with free one-time mounting and balancing included ($12 per tire)

Savings of $128 is $80 for the tires, $48 for the labor... Which comes out to $12 a tire. Since it's $17 for lifetime balancing and rotation (now) , you'd pay the $5 balance x 4 to get it to $68 total for labor.

You can also pay $10 x 4 for road hazard, but IMO, when tires are this cheap (for my car at least), it almost isn't worth it... Just get a new tire for that $40.

If you get goodyear brand tires, goodyear stores will fix your flats for free even if you didn't buy it from them... That's usually the bulk of the road hazard coverage that I acrually use.

I have the reliants on my '13 prius... No issues at all. Very thick tread depth even after a year, and though my car isn't a hotrod by any measure, these have worked great through all types of weather. Haven't tested them in the winter as I switch to winter every January.

In past years these deals included mounting and lifetime balance. I will update the OP once the full terms are available on Walmart.com.

UPDATE: The banner which was shared multiple times in this thread clearly shows free install and balance. I had a chat with Walmart, and they stated it is a free one-time balance with the installation. If I wanted lifetime balance, then I must pay extra. I contacted my local Walmart, and they confirmed this, and said they are doing free installs and one time balance up to and including Sunday November 27th.

Click the link below and look at post #342 for a screenshot showing free install and balance if you have a problem at the Walmart installation center.

It must suck to be a poor (aka people without a Walmart+ membership) . I got down on the deal. Is walmart's website all messed up? Yes. Is the only Walmart in my area that has an Auto install store the most ghetto Walmart in the area? Yes. Like people try selling you shit in the parking lot. SUPER GHETTO. You almost need to bring weapons just to go shopping.

But this is how you navigate this. Simply order your tires and make sure it is shipped to a store with an auto center. A lot of Walmarts don't have that service. Double check. My Walmart store says there are no times to schedule for installation. Disregard that. Just order for pickup, when you receive the email from Walmart saying your order is ready to pickup simply call that store, have them confirm your order is actually ready to pickup, and schedule the tire installation over the phone if you can. If Walmart gives you tons of issues (your tires are out of stock, they aren't doing installations, etc), simply let the order cancel itself (you can wait like 10 days and the order will automatically cancel).
Or just wait for a tire store or Costco to run a deal and skip this nonsense at Walmart entirely.

I was interested last year in getting tires from Walmart and missed out on the deal, then I stayed glued (the best I could) to every tire deal for an entire year. Walmart's deal can't be touched. Like not even close. Costco is a complete rip off. Their cheapest tire is like $200 on their deals. Who the hell spends that much on a fricken rubber wheel. I'm not a sucker, I'm a slickdealer.

Tire store's prices are high too. Nothing comes close to Walmart's tire sale. If Walmart follows through on the free installation, it will be a success. Free tire rotation for life will be the icing on the cake too. Yes, there will be pain. You will need to go to a ghetto walmart. But if you like to save money Walmart's deal is the best.

EDIT: Costco has multiple tire sales going on right now. I added the cheapest tire they have that fits my car. On the final page the total is $741 with installation and the $110 discount applied. The cheapest tires they have that qualifies for the $150 discount comes out to $845 with installation and the $150 discount applied. LMAO. Compare that with this walmart deal where it only costs me $420 with installation (assuming they give me the free installation). Here's Costco's ripoff tire sale going on (Michelin tires started today):

I placed two orders for 4 tires almost 4 hours ago with the correct price adjustment to the tires. One set for each different sized vehicle and scheduled different times for the installs. 3.5 Hours later get two emails each indicating that the tires are not in stock and my installation is cancelled.

I have not compared tire deals recently but DTD and others typically do deals on holidays like BF. I have had good luck with Costco and even Sam's in the past when rebates were stackable.

Time and frustration level matter too. Dealing with Walmart for hours or playing games like you suggest can save money, but not all of us want to waste hours or more back and forth, drive to unsafe locations, or jump through annoying hoops only to end up frustrated. I will gladly pay a bit more to avoid the pain, aggravation, and shady Walmart stores.

Which place are you talking about? Walmart or Costco? What's the price that Costco is offering for your tire size and what is Walmart offering?

Walmart is offering $105 for my 18" tires.
Costco's cheapest all-season Bridgestone 18" tire is $223.
Costco's cheapest all-season Michelin 18" tire is $238

Costco adds about an additional $100 in fees during checkout (installation, TPMS SERVICE PACK fee, and a state fee).

Walmart. Only tire it's offering is Goodyear Wranglers. I agree Costco's tire prices are always trash, even with the "deals" they run.

Does walmart do 15000 gvwr box truck?
My local Walmart could not do it. I have a 12000 lbs dually and the guy told me their lifts weren't rated for that weight and they didn't have any jacks either. So I had to take my tires to another store to have them put on.
