The math checks out that this is probably like last years BF deal for the reliant tires, with free one-time mounting and balancing included ($12 per tire)

Savings of $128 is $80 for the tires, $48 for the labor... Which comes out to $12 a tire. Since it's $17 for lifetime balancing and rotation (now) , you'd pay the $5 balance x 4 to get it to $68 total for labor.

You can also pay $10 x 4 for road hazard, but IMO, when tires are this cheap (for my car at least), it almost isn't worth it... Just get a new tire for that $40.

If you get goodyear brand tires, goodyear stores will fix your flats for free even if you didn't buy it from them... That's usually the bulk of the road hazard coverage that I acrually use.

I have the reliants on my '13 prius... No issues at all. Very thick tread depth even after a year, and though my car isn't a hotrod by any measure, these have worked great through all types of weather. Haven't tested them in the winter as I switch to winter every January.

In past years these deals included mounting and lifetime balance. I will update the OP once the full terms are available on Walmart.com.

UPDATE: The banner which was shared multiple times in this thread clearly shows free install and balance. I had a chat with Walmart, and they stated it is a free one-time balance with the installation. If I wanted lifetime balance, then I must pay extra. I contacted my local Walmart, and they confirmed this, and said they are doing free installs and one time balance up to and including Sunday November 27th.

Click the link below and look at post #342 for a screenshot showing free install and balance if you have a problem at the Walmart installation center.

Welp, they're not letting me add my 2nd set of wheels today to deliver to store with option of install. On Monday I ordered 4 tires for my family van. Got it locked and loaded in store install Friday 8am.

Now I'm looking for tires for my sedan... found them $75 each (great deal) but deliver to my home only?!?!?!

Anybody else buying today and having same issues?

I just got back from wally world to install 2 GY Reliant tires and I can confirm that the install/balancing is Free. This is one-time balancing, not lifetime! I did asked if I can pay the $2 difference to get lifetime balancing and was told no. She said in past years, they weren't supposed to allow for that but people found a loophole and did it. But they switched to a new system this year and that can't be done anymore. I don't know if she's telling the truth or just lie to me but that's what I was told. You will also have to pay for valve stem $3 each....at least I did. So, I got 2 tires installed with road hazard ($10/tire) and valve stems and paid $26 totalled out the door. Hope this helps.

most places include disposal fees with installation. $8>$0, so not the lowest disposal fees around.

my local tire shop is almost exactly the same price as walmart for these tires installed. plus their techs are competent, so if i pay a few bucks more, who cares. im supporting the local economy and not dealing with surprise charges.

i find it odd that you seem to be taking criticism towards this deal personally.
The store should not impose a disposal fee if you keep the old tires.

I install and balance my tires. Drop off the old tires at any tire shop. No charge.

Wowfresh is for food items only and doesn't work on tires! I just verified it.

Paypal10 is a huge ymmv if using paypal as payment method.

Apparently you have not read any of the thread of Walmart coupon codes which was FP. Smh
Listen man...I just told you I did used both codes and it took it. I'm not going to anything else. Use it if you like to save extra $10 or don't...totally your choice.

I never replace the valve stem or valve core. These items should last +20 years under normal use. Also don't waste $ by replacing those expensive electronic tire pressure sensors when the batteries die. Spend $10 for a quality electronic tire gauge and check the tire pressure once a month.

I got the Goodyear Reliant tires almost a year ago and they've been awesome for the price! Highly recommend these. They're great in all weather conditions (I live in New England and have put them through big storms). They were only slightly louder than the OEM tires on my car but I got used to it very fast.

Just got through with chat on walmart.com

Called my local store, they had no clue about stipulations with the BF sale. Went through 2 chat people until finally got an answer from someone.

I ordered 4x 275 55 r20 tires Monday, coming via FedEx today. Specified to the CSR that I only received a discount of $20/tire and not the advertised $128.00. 3 Minutes later they refunded me the balance to my account. Just need to make sure it goes through, got the email from walmart.com immediately though.

This whole deal is just spotty as to what is included, conflicting reports, installations, etc. Just sharing my experience.

The disposal fee is on the new tires not your old ones. The reason they don't charge when you dropped them off is because you (or someone) already paid the disposal fee when those tires were purchased new.

My local and chain shops around me charge more than double the walmart install fee plus $7-10 a tire for disposal. Walmart is $2 per tire for disposal. Most shops around me are between $25-40 per tire for road hazard and walmart is an extra $10.
Not to mention my local shops can never come close to the same price on tires as this deal. I got this deal on my truck last year and showed my local shop the receipt because he couldn't believe the tire price and said it was below his cost for the same tire.

Manufacturers make a lot more $ by selling 80K tires vs. 60K tires. Minor tweaking in the rubber chemistry amounts to less than $5 per tire. I think the Reliant can accept 51 PSI max cold (before driving).

Another scam is low rolling resistance tire. You're paying 20-40% more for a 2-4% bump in fuel mileage. Use the maximum cold tire pressure on a conventional tire's sidewall to increase fuel mileage by 1-2%. Note that higher pressure will increase the chance of damaging the rim and tire with lower profile tires (less than 50).

Evil CA charges $1.75 recycling fee at the time of purchase. I don't think there is a tire recycling fee in TX. Some shops will also charge a tire disposal fee when they mount your tire. There are a lot of scams in the tire business. Stay informed and you can easily save $200.

I bet they load on the fee for tire disposal, tax, etc. Probably $50 extra in CA for all the fees...lol

i just got a set of tires at walmart recently

$2/tire disposal fee.

that's pretty much it.

valve stems are optional, otherwise $3 each

barely any tax for installation
