Pretty comparable to the Costco 86" LG. LG appears to be slightly lower picture quality according to rtings but has more gaming features (only on the 86"). I'd personally probably go with the Costco LG because they deliver it free and it's 90 day returns, and web os is ok while Samsung's os is slow.

The 86" LG at Costco has a native refresh rate of 120 Hz whereas this Samsung is only 60 Hz. I also bought the LG especially because of the extended warranty.

The other significant difference is that the LG also has an IPS display which has a wider viewing angle. The Samsung utilizes a VA display which has a better contrast ratio.

This is a hefty TV. Do you guys mount this on the wall with the appropriate mount or just use the stand?

My 85" is on the wall with what is arguably an "appropriate" mount. It fits the VESA pattern and is screwed to two studs. Checks my boxes.
