Not seeing the $30 clippable coupon on the product page. Says $199, but no coupon to reduce further.

I'm still seeing the coupon, I checked my account, my husband's account and also tried not logged in. Are you still not seeing a coupon? Should be just under the price.

It should be, it's mostly made of metal which is a big step up from a lot of entry-level sewing machines. One of the Q&As is asking about sewing through layers of denim and Brother customer service says that you can sew through multiple layers of denim which is a fairly thick material. You'll want to use heavy duty needles when sewing canvas, denim, leather, etc.

No.

Q: will this sew thru multiple layers of denim?

A: I love this machine, but it isn't a heavy duty machine, which is what you would need to sew multiple layers of denim. I'd say, 2, maybe 3 layers you could get through, but if it's (for instance) where seams join or a corner where you have multiple layers it will really struggle and possibly jam up.
