Yep, I don't think they got this right on the first go around. I bought mine and returned it during the return period. Potential but google isn't quite there yet.
Still, it's worth a thread considering it's a new release's lowest price yet and was popular at $50 more about a week ago.

I'm very happy with mine, but yes, you'll need to charge it for an hour once a day.
I think the QC on these may be the real issue. Lots of reports of people saying they are dying within 3-4 hours (this was my issue) and others saying they last all day. The potential has to be the latter but quite a few people are reporting the former. But the idea of the watch is good, and google assistant is unparalleled.

I think the battery life really depends on your specific needs. If you're a power user with a very active lifestyle, then you would probably be better off with something like the Galaxy Watch5 Pro.
For me, I am less interested in the fitness/sleep tracking component and got this for quick access to calls/texts and notifications, maps, pay, weather, Google Assistant, Spotify, day/date and of course, the actual time! With the always-on display, adaptive brightness, and sunlight boost all enabled, I always end the day with plenty of battery to spare and since I do not use sleep tracking, charging overnight is not an issue.
While I have nothing to compare it against as a first-time smartwatch owner, so far so good and apart from a few apps and tiles I would like to see that are missing from WearOS at present (i.e. Google TV remote, Google News, and Amazon Alexa), it has been a great experience.

Dang, this wasn't showing in the earlier flyer so I just ordered one with the credit for the Pixel 7 promos. Looks like we should be able to price match it though?
have the lte version, have had no issues at all. Run 5 miles a day. Charge it 1x a day. Honestly, thinking people forget to config it appropriately and stream something on it 24/7 and then are shocked the battery dies.
