This is an excellent deal. Fluance makes stuff that punches WAY above its cost, and this is no different. It's a little unfair to call this table entry level, as it's got features you'd pay Audio Technica twice as much for, and, in my opinion, it's better made than virtually all of their offerings. If you're in the market for a turntable, this is a certified great buy.

just got this for my birthday to replace a not great record player. I went back and forth between this and the audio technica LP60 and so far so good. Pretty easy set up, just need to read the instructions for balancing the arm.

Great deal. Wish the higher end models would go on sale, but this is still an excellent turntable.

I just recently got a refurbished AT-LP3. My only complaint is that it skips the first 5-10 seconds of the first track when I used the auto start/play feature. I'm about to send it back and buy a new one instead. Do you think this Fluance is on the same level as the LP3 or potentially better? This is my first record player so I really don't know much

Is it as good as a fully analog 70s/80s/90s setup? No. Will it play those digital pressings that target/Walmart sells that 90% of people buy and enjoy? Yes. It's a real solid entry level piece for sure, and way better than those awful Crowsleys of yesteryear.

No auto return on this one, apparently. This is their entry level budget build... I'd bite, but I want a higher-end model.

They're very comparable. All the LP3 has that this one doesn't is the auto-start/auto-return and a rubber mat, so you've got to place the needle yourself. Other that, they've got the same basic feature set, including very similar cartridges and needles, a removable headshell, counterweight, preamp, etc. etc. Personally I like Fluance better than ATs, but the differences are going to come down to a matter of taste.

And if the AT is only having problems for a few seconds when starting to play, it's likely the tonearm just isn't dropping completely all at once, probably too much damping fluid. That's certainly not an impossible fix for a newbie, but if it'll cost you nothing to get your money back, I wouldn't bother.

You're rarely going to find auto return on anything that costs a not insignificant amount of money. The higher up you go, the less automatic features you get, at least in general.

Only if it has a 1/8 or L/R RCA input on the back of the soundbar. This player doesn't have bluetooth out.
