Deal History
Deal History includes data from multiple reputable stores, such as Best Buy, Target, and Walmart. The lowest price among stores for a given day is selected as the "Sale Price".
Sale Price does not include sale prices at Amazon unless a deal was posted by a community member.
For anyone who's interested, 3xcamel shows the price averaged around $120, pre-pandemic, went to around $140 during the pandemic, then up to $250 in the past 3 months. So it's a deal, but 60% off is misleading.
There will be more detailed responses incoming, but this sub is not great. Keep in mind this is 50 watts RMS. It just absolutely doesn't dig very deep. I'd definitely recommend holding out for a deal on a Dayton SUB-1200. You will not get this low on price for the Dayton, but you will absolutely get a very large jump in performance.
This would be best suited to a small room, possibly paired with some bookshelf speakers. In that setting it would probably work great. If you're getting this for home theater duty, I think you're going to be disappointed. I had one for a few weeks messing around with it as part of a package deal I got on Marketplace, and I was really thoroughly underwhelmed.
Definitely a good discount from where it has been price wise, and if you have the right set up for it, it's worth a look, but I wouldn't pick it up thinking you're going to shake pictures off your walls.

Yeah I'd definitely wait for something else. Wouldn't even consider it a subwoofer honestly. I moved mine from the living room to a bedroom, it's perfect for music if you aren't pushing it, anything else is a no go.
I have to say, I really didn't like this subwoofer. That being said it's cheap.
If I needed a cheap subwoofer again I would personally try something else. Maybe monoprice or the speedwoofer.

For sure it has its use case scenarios. It can definitely round out your frequency response and add some oomph to your low end. I guess it's not terrible, really, just that I think people should know what they're getting into before purchasing. Like you mentioned, living room or bedroom it would work wonderfully as you're probably not looking to bring down the walls there anyway.
This is the perfect sub to pair with some studio monitors. Could not be happier paired with vanatoo TO's. (It's the sub the audio engineers at vanatoo recommend with their speakers)
perfect for those speakers you have that are lacking in the low end.
Sounds more like a 12" woofer than a "sub"woofer

Update 1: Nevermind. I reloaded and now it's showing as sold out at Best Buy.
Update 2: Best Buy has the psw108 10 inch subwoofer on sale for $165. I don't know the difference between this and the psw10.
