Was in the market for a projector and saw that Epson themselves are selling their projector with an added free travel case and extra year of warranty which seems to be a better deal than all the usual vendors.

After some bit of research, this seems like a high-quality "compact" projector with really nice speakers by Yamaha. A lot of positive reviews and the only negative I see is the lower lumen rating that might not work well in all areas.

They also accept PayPal for another 5% CB thru Chase rewards cards.

Product Notes:
  • Output = 1080P (Input is 4K compatible)
  • "Premium Quality" Stereo Sound System designed by Yamaha
  • Also works as a Bluetooth (5.0) speaker
  • Laser light source = No Bulb Changing
  • 1000 ANSI Lumens
  • Built-In Android TV
  • Under 5 lbs.
  • 73 W (Eco) to 102 W Power Consumption

Looks pretty good but I'll prefer if they lower the price less than $700 instead of giving us the bag. For this price I would just go for the xgimi horizon that I got for $850 in prime day and I'm pretty sure we going to see the same price on Black Friday or even lower for the xgimi horizon.

1000 lumens, I assume it's ansi lumens however I couldn't find that verified. Judging by the review videos and how it looked in a lit room, 1000 ansi lumens seems right.

I wasn't aware of this detail - but looks like a few sources I'm reading online are stating 1000 ansi as well. Thanks for clearing this up, makes me feel a bit better about the purchase. Smilie

Is your Xgimi Horizon 1080 p at 2200 ANSI? Is it bright? I got XGIMI MoGo Pro a while back which was at 300 ANSI and it is dark.

Bought this last summer for full freight (had a B&H gift card). We've used it for backyard movie nights with a 120-in projector screen, but where this really shines is bringing it when we travel by car and stay in AirBNBs. Many have wifi but don't have TVs, or have janky TVs (amazon fire branded have been atrocious if the host doesn't have everything already established), to have this tiny cube set up and ready to go has been a blessing (yes, could be addressed with a chromecast many times).

There are some app compatibility issues still (doesn't natively support netflix), but for Disney+, Plex, Youtube, and most other services it's clean and compatible. Plenty bright for most rooms with blinds drawn (within reason). It does spend the majority of it's life in its box, as how often do I need a portable projector, but with two young kids it has been nice to have when travelling for rainy days or nighttime.

Not a super slick deal, but a nice piece of kit if you have the need, super convenient, sound is solid, placement is somewhat flexible (no movable lens, only digital adjustment).

Yeap i have the horizon 1080p and is bright and if you look up videos against the Epson the horizon is brighter overall.

You can get it certified refurbished with a 2-year warranty directly from Epson for $700. The extra one year warranty and case are probably worth it for $100, but each one may have a different opinion.

Seems a decent projector, but I wouldn't really classify it as "portable" as it still requires wall power to function. I was very impressed with the 1000 ANSI(?) Lumens in a portable projector at this price point, and was trying to find the battery life when I realized it doesn't have one. Maybe my read on what a portable projector is doesn't match up to the industry though. I bought my Nebula Mars Lite a few years ago and haven't really looked at projectors since then because we've been happy using that whenever/wherever we've wanted to since then.

Good point, I changed it to say "Compact" projector. Thanks!

This brightness is 1000 lumens but it's actually 1150 ansi in the brightest mode which is more than what they claim. In other modes with more accuracy it drops to around 700 or less lumens. This plus it being LCD is a lot more than what other manufacturers have even if the claim more. This this is not dim at all.
