On paper this looks like a great deal. Anyone know any caveats to this? I know hp can have shoddy worksmaship on their products, at least in the past and in their desktops

Omen's build quality is usually pretty good, much better than their Victus lineup.
The 3070 on this, however, isn't full wattage. Couldn't really find the exact number but it's not 140W as far as I know, I could be wrong.

I've been digging and I found a review that says 100. The fact they won't clearly state in the specs makes me uncomfortable. If you won't tell me what I'm buying I don't want surprise hardware in a $1,000 laptop, especially the GPU. It's not bad, but it's not good. Combined with the middling support and build quality of HP this is worse than the similar Asus 3070 laptop that's been showing up on sale. If I'm getting a watered down 3070 I want a better brand.

Contacted HP and the person in chat said they it had a 200w gpu and no available m.2 slots for ssd so I'm pretty sure they don't know either at this point…….

I wonder if the 512gb drop is worth the stronger wattage gpu?
