ABSOLUTE F*ING life changer!!! I LOVE my S7 MaxV Ultra. We have mostly hard floor with some sections of area rugs and it's amazing how this thing can manage to clean up everything. We have 3 cats, a bird, and a dog and I truly regret not getting this sooner. Now I only wish some of the refills go on sale as I am soon up for some replacements. The obstacle avoidance is impressive, and we also enjoy using it as a spy cam to watch our kitties when we're away. It's kinda hypnotic to just look at the camera stream when it's cleaning. The one thing I will mention though is that the dirty water tank does smell rank when you open it, so if you are disgusted by the thought of practically sewage sitting in that dock, you might want to clean the tank more often that when it's full.
Your comment is not helpful. What do you expect? Most of the products are made in China anyway.
And it's a vacuum, you worry on Chinese people knowing the map and layout of your house and how frequent you use the vacuum? Same thing will happen if this products is made in the US, US companies will also track the same data.
IMHO, i think this is not the best deal given it's call the Black Friday deals.
The discounted pricing is basically the same as past deals we have seen here. It's a shame, i was waiting to see the S7 MaxV Ultra, but it's still very pricey.
I thought the extra 2 years of warranty are for items bought at Costco only.
It applies to items outside of Costco as long as you buy the items with the card. Unfortunately this perk will ends on Jan 22, 2023 but they still honor any items bought before the date above. I bought mine just now using Costco card.
I doubt this is 4X times better for the price than the Ihome I found the other day that did all the same stuff, which is still available from walmart.
I have the ihome Nova. It's ok. Doesn't clean all that well and I absolutely hate the stupid app. The maps are garbage since the robot would ignore the keep out zones and still goes in them and they get stuck on cables left and right. I would also occasionally get glitchy maps in the app where there are two maps rotated and stacked on top of one another. I think every week it will get stuck somewhere at least once and I'll have to fetch it. Also the mop feature is pretty much useless if you have both hardwood and carpet.
If you look at it as a gimmicky toy, then yes these prices are insane. But if you actually used one of these expensive ones and realized how amazing they are, you would have no issue dropping money for this appliance like you do any other appliance in your house, such as washing machines, fridges, dish washers etc. A washing machine removed the need for handwashing, same as a dishwasher, and both have premium price tags.
How much is it worth to you to own a product that ensured you never ever have to touch a broom or mop again?
And you can also think of cleanliness as an investment in your health (and hygiene)
Against my better judgement I ordered the s7 ultra. Coupon code working through Amazon. still hoping it gives an old fashioned after it's finished cleaning.

We don't work at Twitter but we bring in around $200k and I wouldn't spend $1k on a robot vacuum. I'm surprised that many people would drop this kind of coin. We do have a dumb Roomba upstairs that just bounces off walls and cleans randomly. It works really well and was around $200. Maybe the s7 ultra gives you an old fashioned when it's finished mopping?
this item is a perfect example of law of diminishing returns. you are not getting anything better buy paying $1K+
you can buy a separate smart mop and vac for a fraction of the cost and have basically same if not a better cleaning outcome. if one breaks, you can replace it independently.
but as everything new, one must recover the R&D and marketing cost. this deal is not a bad product, it's just a bad (very bad) price. but we do need fools to buy it, so that 3-5 years from now same mop-vac will cost $200 and we will have plethora to select from.
Snagged the ultra along with a drying / water change kit from alibaba. A huge sum of money, but if it gives me a fully automated robo-mop via plumbing hookups I'll be happy.

Valid point I've mulled over… however I've considered the following and which is why many if not all people on this thread are interested in this.
Full automation. Not only will said unit vacuum and self empty but it will MOP, not just rub dirty water around your floor but mop, clean itself, and start over.
There are only a handful of units on the market that do this… all over $1k+
For my usages also I'm intrigued by the security/drone feature. I looked into other home security robots such as the ring drone camera… I have a few large dogs and a large house. The camera and navigation feature MAY be useful, I haven't decided yet.
So yes one could spend $500 on a top of the line robot mop, or another $500 on a decent self emptying robot, however, they will not clean themselves, and at some point will begin to clutter said areas.
I just picked up the X1 Omni today from Best Buy so I'm trying that and will try this once it comes in. I'll keep whichever suits my needs.
Is ~1000 expensive? Sure, but if it can last for a year, or heck two years, it would be a little less than $100 a month or less than $50 dollars a month respectively. For something that is pretty much fully automated with the self clean and emptying of the bins (which we hate doing with the s6), I personally thought it was worth it. This saved me sooo much time sweeping and mopping the floors on a regular basis and also with the constant crumbs from the kids. As they say time is also $. I can better utilize my time elsewhere... Iike browsing SD...
The L10s does quite a bit more. It adds auto dust bin emptying at the base, automatic lifting mop pads, auto water refill at the base, and more power (5300pa versus 4000pa of the W10).
