Monitor looks pretty good:
17.3" FHD 1920 x 1080 IPS, anti-glare with Dolby Vision, 300 nits, 144Hz, 72% NTSC color accuracy

It just feels like one I can skip. Feeling neutral. If it were a slim, at this price and had one of the legion pro screens with 500nits I would consider. To me it feels more like a normal price. And I love the 17.3 inch display but want the QHD 16:10 as well. In comparison to other options it feels like an overpriced legion that finally is being given a more reasonable price. And most of the pricing is because of the other competitors in the market doing the same. But in this new year and considering what's to come I think people will be more likely to buy something newer and tend to look for options with better specs at prices not to far from this. Its OK. It gives the same feeling as the 2022 Ideapad 3 Gaming that is on Amazon for 599. And if I were considering something like this, imo, it would just be better to go for the Ideapad 3 Gaming for the 599. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09RND1...slink=true

Also for a cheaper 729 in the Gigabyte A5 K1 linked below you get more than what this offers at a higher price - just it's on Newegg: https://slickdeals.net/share/android_app/fp/769759

Same screen size, rez & CPU, but for $940 get 3060 & 16gb RAM in Gigabyte's A7 found on eBay. Seller jacked up the price, it was $900 back in late September/early October.

1080p is a bit grainy for a 17 inch screen. 300 nits is also the bare minimum of useable brightness, larger panels are usually brighter than that.

1080p is not grainy at 17 inches. It's the same ppi as a 24" monitor at 1440p.

But you can save 200 and get the 15 inch Ideapad gaming (and if it bothers you that the CPU is slightly worse then you can get the Intel ones for 679 and up) and maybe get a portable monitor instead. From 15 inch to 17 you don't get much to justify the cost.
