For anyone that would like to know...

Enhanced Gaming Mode featuring 4ms at 240Hz 1080p and 16ms at 4K UHD 60Hz
I don't have this exact one, but I have the Optoma P2B and it's awesome.

One thing I wish I had known beforehand though is how low to the ground I would have to have it in order to get a 120" display. Keep that in mind if you're looking to get a stand for it. Mine is not even 12 inches off the ground.
Wow this is a great deal... This mops the floor with just about every UST projector deal we had on here and its not even close. Had to triple check this was the latest D2 series and not the P1 but it definitely is, fixed all the short comings of the P1 and then some.

Darn I never planned on spending $2K today but finger getting itchy, if it could do 150" screen size I would be sold unfortunately this maxes out at 120". Need to think hard on this one, this is a winner for movies and for gaming it literally does it all, if you only need 100-120" screen size there is nothing better if you need or want UST form factor.

I have the Cinemax P1 UST. Almost tempted to buy this.

As for comparison to TV's I have an 82" Sony in my loft and a 75" Vizio in my bedroom. Hands down the TV's are "better" than the projector. The colors pop more, blacks are better and watching with ANY light source in the room there's absolutely no comparison… the TV's win. The picture is still good with the projector just not near as good as the TV's with any light in the room.

What the projector has is the "WOW" factor. I bought a VIVIDSTORM motorized UST specific 120' screen from Amazon. I still find it supercool when I turn the projector on and the screen rolls up towards the ceiling vs the traditional down from the ceiling. Don't get me wrong, the picture is fantastic, but doesn't compare to the TV's if I was being a picture quality critic. Friends and family love my projector setup.

With the screen I paid over $5K almost double my Sony and over triple the Vizio. Mind you, I don't have a top of the line screen. Maybe daytime watching would be better, etc, but That would add a lot more to the cost. I am overly satisfied with the VIVIDSTORM screen.

If I had to do it all over again I'd still buy the projector. I have a big living room. But if picture quality was the deciding factor over size… I'd get the 82' every day of the week.

Also, if you're buying this, I hope you get a GOOD surround sound Home Theater System to pair with this. It just adds to the experience. I have a traditional wired 7.1 system in my living room, the Sonos ARC with sub and surrounds in the loft and a wired 5.1 in my bedroom. Watching, Action, Sci-fi, and horror movies on the projector with full surround and killer sub… SUPER AWESOME! I tried the Sonos in the living room… it was ok… but will definitely satisfy most families. I just happen to like good old legacy systems.

Anyways, if you're on the fence with this projector… just understand you NEED a UST specific screen. If it's within your budget… go for it. It's fantastic! If you're humming and hawing about this vs an 82" TV and you value picture quality and cost as you're deciding factors… get the TV. I love my projector and TV's…
Yea I am currently shopping around for a good UST. I heard you can get them on ali for far cheaper but there are SOOO many ones out there I am unsure where to go. Looking for a 120, no motorization needed, and around 1k

Beware of cps warranty, they offered my 1/2 price to replace my 1yr tv. And refused to repair or replace it… saying it was not commercially viable.

Arguing was useless because they said 25% price drop since it's a year old model and another 30% drop since TV and monitors evidently last only 4 years.

I asked what if my tv was 3year and broke? No worries you'll get 10% price minimum… wtf

hate to resurrect a dead thread - but just in case anyone is looking at this - mine literally "blew up" after just two weeks - heard a loud audible pop during normal usage and then it wouldn't project anything - just a flashing red dot...

My very first projector setup for our bedroom and I am confused between these 3 options
Lg Cinebeam $1799
Xgimi Aura which is $1599
Optima Cinemax D2 DLP

AFAIK Aura is best value here. Provides good video and audio quality.
