After last post about this brand, I really wasn't sure what to buy for my teens who are learning in school and want to practice at home. I get the whole "buy a nicer guitar for a better playing experience so they'll stick with it" idea, but I also just wanted something they could play and see if they want to go to a nicer guitar in time.
I ended up taking the risk and buying one of these on the comment that it wasn't a toy guitar- we have one of those and it's pretty crappy.
This guitar came yesterday and I just got done goofing around on it with my kids. It's not wood, seems like a plastic material (may be in the listing what it is EDIT: per another poster it's laminated wood- a bunch of thin layers of wood glued together), but it seems like a great guitar for practicing and for beginners. I enjoyed playing with it and the kids really like it too.
I'm very pleased with it and am glad I bought it.
A poor quality guitar will making learning to play a very frustrating experience.
dont expect a high-end quality guys come on... be realistic, for the price it's great, it does feel very light and cheap, but plays really good for what it is, and the sound its surprisingly nice and loud, when i got it, was some fret buzz but a quick adjust with the hexa key that comes with it and its gone , its the first time i adjust a guitar , so anyone can do it., go for it, for learning its great , the nut width its so good for small hands, if any just replace the strings and good to go , no need to take it to a professional to adjust it, that is just dumb.

Did you try to learn on a poor quality guitar? What is your definition of poor quality and what makes you think this one is? Have you ever put your hands on the guitar in question? Played it?

Most youtube reviews shows a cheap throw-around guitar that plays well and sounds decent. My brother (he was a real guitarist, I a drummer) and I both had a $40 Rouge acoustic from MF for over a decade. Great beater guitar.

I just got two of their ukuleles and yeah the finish isn't near Kala level but the tone and volume actually are - better than the $300 Billie eilish fender ukulele I'm returning. I got them just for gifts but ordered two more and keeping one because I'm impressed with how good it sounds (have a $120 Kala ukulele and it's near its level).

For $70 you could buy things far less interesting to hang on your wall than a guitar. :-)

My brother's uncle's nephew bought a guitar once.
