tom's hardware.. which has never steered me wrong before

.. has been recommending the crucial MX series of ssd drives (note that's not the m2 drive, the old fashioned rectangular ssd

) for four years now as the go to for a budget drive.. I did see that the price dropped as low as $75 at one point for the 1 TB crucial MX drive .. maybe wait and see if it drops to that price on Black Friday? I can say with certainty that my crucial MX drives have made all three of my desktop PC's happy as far as running Windows 10

... on the other hand a lower quality drive could be just fine a s a secondary drive for storing files .. apparently it's not the best choice for a gaming drive if I'm understanding the reviews correctly.
