I've been keeping an eye on that one for a few days. There doesn't seem to be anything near that at that price range. Any other PC with the 6800xt/3080 seem to be closer to the $2k range.

Main concerns are running hot, running loud and single stick RAM. RAM can be easily fixed but changing fans is a bit more involved.

At $1250 seems to be the best higher spec deal currently.

It looks like they chucked in a 120mm watercooler for the CPU. But still, id be worried about the gpu running loud. Mentioning the CPU cooler, because the gamernexus video, they gave them a crappy stock cooler, instead of an AIO. 1000 watt power supply is also a nice touch. This honestly doesn't look bad.

Do not under any circumstances buy an Alienware unless you are gutting it for parts.

i have the r12 with i7 11th and 3080 rtx... GPU temp is pretty good at 75c after 5hrs of intense gaming. CPU hovers at 75c-80c and spikes to 85c some times. i put a small fan behind the computer and it brought the CPU tem down by 10c...

Not the same system. The one they are complaining about has a 460w ps. This one has the 1000w ps that's liquid cooled. I ordered back in the beginning of october 3rd and I'm still waiting for it as they keep telling me that it's back ordered. It's similar to the price of bestbuy so I might pull the trigger with them instead.

If alienware is so awful can someone please tell us which company to go with for a prebuilt gaming pc that has reasonable prices without building your own, and without living near a microcenter (the nearest one to me is 8 hours away).

iBuyPower and CyberpowerPC build normal customs that have normal parts. So does Asus. HP and Dell don't build normal customs.

Alienwares are completely proprietary and come saddled with Dell nonsense, like locked BIOS and proprietary power connectors.
