I have an XBOX Series X plugged into it and it reports compatible with everything and I have not had any issues with dropouts while playing. This is invaluable to anyone with a TV that only has two 2.1 ports.
This soundbar is great because of the "Dual" surround sound setting. The options for surround sound are: On, Off, or Dual. The dual setting is excellent when you are watching TV programs, news, sports, reality series, etc., which are not heavy in immersive surround sound content.
The Dual mode essentially gives you a 2.1 set up coming from the rear speakers. The main soundbar is still active as well. This makes hearing dialogue heavy content much easier to listen to and more clear.
Also, there is a separate setting for dialogue levels, if you need it in the 5.1.2 configuration. This works well for movies and shows that have 5.1.2 content. Bumping up the dialogue setting brings the speaking voices in the movie/TV show forward, if that makes sense.
I tested this Vizio soundbar in my home vs the Samsung HW-Q750B/ZA 5.1.2 and this one, the Vizio M512a-H6 5.1.2, was the far and away the better choice for me. Overall, they both sound nice and have enough adjustments that I was happy with the sound. The "Dual" surround on the Vizio is what sold it for me though.
The Samsung HW-Q750B/ZA 5.1.2 was purchased at Best Buy around the same time I bought the Vizio M512a-H6 5.1.2 from Amazon.
I also like the Vizio's rear speakers better, (design and size). They blend into the background much better and don't necessarily look like a speaker, whereas the Samsung rear speakers definitely look like small speakers.
Another thing, the Samsung rear speakers had a separate bluetooth receiver that they had to plug into, which may be a plus for some people, but I found it annoying to have a third item that requires separate power and cables. The sub on the Samsung is wireless, beyond it's power cable and did not have ports to accept the rear speakers. So in total, you have to provide separate power for the soundbar, the subwoofer, and the rear bluetooth receiver.

Never mind, just saw they connect to the sub
Another question - are the levels on the sub adjustable? For most TV shows I want the sub dropped out because I find it overwhelming; but for movies I want it on and kicking.
