You'll get charged the full price + taxes when making the order with a trade-in online. When you go in-store to pick up the new phone and trade in your old phone, they'll refund you the difference and with that, your taxes will also be adjusted according to the final price.

Source: I traded in my Pixel 6 for a Pixel 7 a month ago at Best Buy.

Thanks OP , it seems like a great deal. How is the Pixel 7 performing? I see some articles online highlighting it is quite buggy. I'm tempted but my Iphone XR works really well, despite a few years old. Can any owner out there please share your experience with the device so far? Thanks.

Anyone know if this deal applies in store as well? I've had bad experiences with trade in refunds not being processed just in general, but I'd rather just do it all in person if possible. If anyone has been able to do it, please let me know. Thanks!

Yes of course it does apply in store. Best way to do it then you don't get screwed on trade in as you mentioned.

I did trade in for my pixel 7 pro on launch day in store to avoid the horror stories I've read about people saying their trade wasn't accepted.thw values are the same you can even start the trade in online if you like

Can those who do trade in answer this question please. When they inspect the phone what exactly do they do? Do they check the cameras on the front or the back?

It says the trade in value is locked for 15 days but how long does BB give you to pick up the order? 7 days?

So really want to take advantage of this deal but closest Best Buy is 2.5hours away so if I do it online how reliable is their mail in trade in I have an iPhone 11 in basically perfect condition

They don't check cameras. You can extend the pick up for 14 days. You have to request that though
