You'll get charged the full price + taxes when making the order with a trade-in online. When you go in-store to pick up the new phone and trade in your old phone, they'll refund you the difference and with that, your taxes will also be adjusted according to the final price.

Source: I traded in my Pixel 6 for a Pixel 7 a month ago at Best Buy.

Wasn't planning to buy but good value for XR trade in so completed it just now. Traded in a total wireless XR and picked up P7 in store. Trade in was a bit of a challenge for them as store folks weren't too experienced with it but eventually we got to the right place. All they did on trade in was check IMEI and see if it powered on. No issues trading total wireless as VZ. Having e-mail with trade in spelled out for them was helpful.

i dont understand jeje, because in BB said when i try to check out: your cart: 540.79$ pick up & trade in at: .........
so, do i need to pay the total at forst and when i arrive to BB, apply the trade in and the 460$ for de XR will be refunded to my debit card ?

It also depends on how much time you plan on staying with the phone. My Iphone XR is already 4 years ago. Suppose I stay with Pixel 7 for 3 years. I doubt that a 7 year old Iphone XR would worth more than a 3 year old P7.

That is correct. But you should be charged only at the moment you're picking up your order, right?
