You'll get charged the full price + taxes when making the order with a trade-in online. When you go in-store to pick up the new phone and trade in your old phone, they'll refund you the difference and with that, your taxes will also be adjusted according to the final price.

Source: I traded in my Pixel 6 for a Pixel 7 a month ago at Best Buy.

Has anyone tried trade in via Google store? They are running a similar deal, offering me 430$ for my broken XR VS the 350$ BB is offering. Only thing is Best Buy i can do Instore and with Google I'll have to ship the trade in phone to them and hope they actually give me the value they claim.

If Google says that it would take broken phone then they will take broken phone. You just have to read a fine print to understand if they mean phone that is working, but has blemishes vs the phone that looks like it just came from a war zone.

i am on ios and i miss the free apps. most ios apps charge for features that they offer for free on android.
