Also, Best Buy returns sales tax on the trade-in value, Google doesn't. So $35 difference for this deal if sales tax is 10%.
It's rumored that the pixel 8 will have the Tensor G3 which will be more comparable to the latest high end snapdragon chipsets.

They couldn't get the trade in amount to come up on their computer. They got $110 (via gift card) no problem, but the extra "enhanced trade in value" of $350 kept showing up as $0. They acknowledged the total should be $460 trade in value, but they could never get the computer to do it. They said it was a "glitch". After 1 hour and 30 minutes, the store manager finally just discounted the phone by $350 to arrive at the correct $460 trade in value.
second question, is it best to walk in with the trade-in phone already wiped and ready for them? Does that expedite the process?
