You'll get charged the full price + taxes when making the order with a trade-in online. When you go in-store to pick up the new phone and trade in your old phone, they'll refund you the difference and with that, your taxes will also be adjusted according to the final price.

Source: I traded in my Pixel 6 for a Pixel 7 a month ago at Best Buy.

I got charged $540.17 first and then got back $497.95 as a refund bringing net to $42.22. Worked fine for me.

I decided not to do this deal after all. I called ST to cancel my order since they haven't shipped yet. CS told me there's no way to cancel an order once it's submitted. What's up with that?

thats normal. welcome to deal with tracfone, total wireless and straighttalk customer service. dont expect any refund from them at least 30 days. you might need to file dispute with cc to get your money back.

Thanks OP! I was actually able to find an open box in store for $469 (giggidy) and still get $460 trade value. $59 after taxes.

How is Best Buy not checking to see if the phones work and are with the carriers listed online?

When I traded in my old 13 Pro for the T-Mobile iPhone 14 Pro, they took like 20 minutes to examine my phone.

Not sure if anyone has posted this tip but anyone can go to Walmart's Black Friday sale today to buy a brand new iphone 11 for $199 from Total Wireless or Straight Talk and take it right to BB to get $525 trade-in. Better deal than waiting forever for ST to ship a used XR. And you can probably return it if they won't take it on trade.

I paid with PayPal and I just opened up a dispute.

Just refuse delivery or leave a note at your address telling delivery person.

If the order is open after 30 days they must let you cancel by law.
