You'll get charged the full price + taxes when making the order with a trade-in online. When you go in-store to pick up the new phone and trade in your old phone, they'll refund you the difference and with that, your taxes will also be adjusted according to the final price.

Source: I traded in my Pixel 6 for a Pixel 7 a month ago at Best Buy.

Please check again. These are the old trade-in values. They are now offering $460 for the iPhone XR.

Could you please advise how you managed to trade in $525 work iphone for a pixel 7 which is of lower value? It is not allowing me to place the order online with the message that trade in exceeds the phone value.

It differs by State. In GA, my Bestbuy only requires Driver License.

If your Bestbuy requires your fingerprints, etc, those rules apply to others as well. You are not the only one.

iamjimmy you can do that onlly in store. For iphone 11 they would take it as 175$ gift card for base refund plus 350$ for the remaining balance to add up to 525$. Once the trade in is done, they will use that credit to place the order for your pixel 7

Basic stuff iPhone does like connect to SMB shares, view tiff files, track steps, etc need to find and install apps so different mindset for sure. Pretty annoying if you have all this stuff work first time you turn on phone.
Even Samsung and other Android phones install this stuff by default but not on the Pixel and that is basically the point i.e. stock Android.

This for an in-store placed order, but not for an online order with instore pickup, right?

I'm surprised this thread doesn't mention about Pixel 7 washed-out display. Doesn't matter Natural or Adaptive setting, some test pictures from the phone I got today show the problem. It turns out I'm not the only one: https://www.reddit.com/r/GooglePi...ashed_out/
The colors of the pictures taken from my Samsung S20FE look much better.

Exactly. But the reps told me they are taxing the 499-350(promo value) difference. Then after that, they are deducting the 110 bucks which is the actual tradein value.
