What is this Walmart deal?
I wasn't even planning on upgrading my OnePlus 6t and am still wondering if I should even open the Pixel 7...Damn FOMO really got me worked up about this killer deal...
If you count a BB giftcard as cash value, you'll pay a few dollars more to walk in and out of two different stores instead of waiting for ST to ship your XR.
Prices that the trade in devices cost for me:
XR = $146.16
11 = $213.43
Note you should be taxed on $150 since its the price of the phone minus the promo of $350. Pixel 7 $500 - $350 Promo = $150
With XR:
$150 + $10.80 (tax) = $160.80 - $110 giftrcard = Still owed $50.80
With 11:
$150 + $10.80 (tax) = $160.80 - $175 giftcard (from 11 trade in) = $15.20 giftcard
XR $146.16 + $50.80 = $196.96
11 $213.43 -15.20 = 198.23
I also chatted several times with BB customer service and they said the store would honor the promo after the 28th assuming your pickup date was after that (i.e. order now and pickup later). They did say you would be subject to the 14-day trade-in quote on the checkout page.
Highly recommend you take a screenshot of your order page saying the $460 trade in value and that its good for 14 days. YMMV.
