You'll get charged the full price + taxes when making the order with a trade-in online. When you go in-store to pick up the new phone and trade in your old phone, they'll refund you the difference and with that, your taxes will also be adjusted according to the final price.

Source: I traded in my Pixel 6 for a Pixel 7 a month ago at Best Buy.

At best buy,when we go for trade-in,Do they check wether it's 128gb or 64gb on iphone xr? I accidentally picked 128gb while I have 64gb.

Should we give the phone factory reset? How do we prove it's not apple id locked?

Seems like either your experience was different or you live somewhere with very low sales tax. Most people, myself included, were charged sales tax on the price after the $350 promo discount but before the trade in was applied (based on reading this thread.)

I'm pretty sure they're not gonna accept that. Storage and color is the one thing that needs to be right. They check by imei and there's also websites that do the same thing. If it's a phone that's lying around or you got it for trade in then it should be factory reset. If it's your main phone it would be good to transfer everything over via cable. You can turn Find My off for the trade in check and keeping all your data. You can use a lightning to usb c cable or the adapter in the box and a lightning to usb a cable, the regular charging cable. I read in this thread that a person was allowed to open the box and transfer everything over after the trade in was done but I'm not sure if that's every Best Buy.

I got a shipping notice from Straight Talk for my XR. Ordered Nov 19 with next day shipping.

Hopefully my Best Buy will actually fulfill my order which they have delayed.

I have a iphone xs to trade in, the model is NTAG2LL/A (not MT942LL/A) which seems to mean it is refurbished, would BB accept it anyway?

Where are you guys seeing this deal? when I add the unlocked pixel 7 to cart I don't even get the option to trade in device and I'm getting the full price.

Any suggestions on where to get a good quality iPhone XR for cheap?
