You'll get charged the full price + taxes when making the order with a trade-in online. When you go in-store to pick up the new phone and trade in your old phone, they'll refund you the difference and with that, your taxes will also be adjusted according to the final price.

Source: I traded in my Pixel 6 for a Pixel 7 a month ago at Best Buy.

Seems like either your experience was different or you live somewhere with very low sales tax. Most people, myself included, were charged sales tax on the price after the $350 promo discount but before the trade in was applied (based on reading this thread.)

I got a shipping notice from Straight Talk for my XR. Ordered Nov 19 with next day shipping.

Hopefully my Best Buy will actually fulfill my order which they have delayed.

Where are you guys seeing this deal? when I add the unlocked pixel 7 to cart I don't even get the option to trade in device and I'm getting the full price.

Any suggestions on where to get a good quality iPhone XR for cheap?
