If you paid through Paypal do you cancel the order through Paypal or the redit card? Seems like it was already charged to my CC but not yet shipped. Didnt even know they could do that.
WARNING: YOU BETTER CHECK YOUR IMEI TO MAKE SURE THE PHONE YOU TRADE IN ISN'T SHOWING UP AS STOLEN.
The reason for the above warning is because to complete the trade-in, BB took a scan of my license, and I had to put my thumb on a fingerprint reader which is now on file with them I guess, and also e-sign a statement I understand that I am not dealing in stolen goods.
I learned all this after I asked the rep why I was giving a fingerprint scan. They will report anyone to the authorities if the phone shows up stolen. So if you bought your phone off some random ebay or craigslist seller and trade it in without checking, you'll be the one at risk when turning over that phone to BB.
My trade went easy and fine and they honored everything I had set up online. Also, doing the trade in-store saved a whole lot of sales tax (CA 9.5%!), as the tax was only after all the discounts and promo applied.
Finally, phones at BB don't fall under the holiday return policy. You get like 2 weeks and if you return for reasons other than defect, it's $45 flat restocking fee.
- Bought 4 tracfone flip phones with a year of service each for $20 each from an earlier slickdeal.
- Added the 4 lines to my existing tracfone account. Received 40,000 rewards points.
- 2 months later this deal has come along and I've cashed in my rewards for 2 $300 coupons that I've used for iphone 11s. It would have been even slicker if the refurbed iphones were still in stock, but I missed that by a few days.
- Last step, trading in the iphones for pixel 7s.
Total costs: $80 (4 tracfone lines with flip phones) + $75 (two iphone 11s, new, 1-2 day shipping -- after $300 each discount). This nets me 2 pixel 7s and about $30 in best buy gift cards.And, of course, I still have about 10 months of service left on the flip phones -- they're not worth much but I use them as emergency phones in each of my cars since there are places where tracfone-verizon has service and T-Mobile doesn't have coverage.
I have an XS max. Screen is fine but the back is really smashed
Any chance this deal will be extended? I'm trying to get my photos off of this thing to get back to android and hours now and can't figure it out. Trying to copy and paste to my pc connected as a drive and it just keeps timing out/crashing
