You'll get charged the full price + taxes when making the order with a trade-in online. When you go in-store to pick up the new phone and trade in your old phone, they'll refund you the difference and with that, your taxes will also be adjusted according to the final price.

Source: I traded in my Pixel 6 for a Pixel 7 a month ago at Best Buy.

Question for SD'ers familiar with Straight Talk. So I bought iphone XR and $35 bronze plan and then traded it in to BB. Never activated or even setup the phone. Do I need to interact with Straight Talk again? Like do I need to cancel the plan? I kinda forgot what I was buying into when choosing the plan.

I ordered on the 11/19. I got my phone 11/26. the email came from [email protected]. Might wanna check your spam folder just in case.

Yeah, several people have mentioned the same thing in the other thread. But with weekends and the holiday, it's only been four business days. I'm guessing they probably get a bunch out today and tomorrow. Watch for shipping notifications, often later at night. If you don't see anything after a couple more days, try "track by reference #" at UPS with your ST order number. Sometimes their shipping notices don't go out.

Experior Global is the "seller" that has sent me the product, UPS is the courier, I guess it might be the name of the contracted warehouse that was fulfilling these orders? That's why I'm curious if anyone else's was sourced from that same seller

You might want to double check it's UPS. Experior Global is also a logistics company. I assume you have a UPS code and are tracking it. My XR came from Tracphone warehouse in TN but has Total Verizon Straight Talk packaging all inside the box.

I saw that when I looked them up, but as a logistics, they could also handle remote fulfillment. Either way, it is in my UPS My Choice and the email is from UPS, tracks there and everything, while ST has sent no shipping email and order tracking still says pending. I have ordered no other packages to this address, so it's gotta be this.

EDIT: Okay, My Choice says it's 15 pounds lol gonna have to see if one of the family ordered something and didn't tell me. Glad I submitted this dispute because this is crazy.

No, you'd only need to worry about it if you opted for "auto-refill" with the plan. It's something you have to specifically choose, so you'd probably remember that. Otherwise, there's no further billing.

That's the big question. The current trade in value is the BB value + $350 Google promo which expires today 11/28. If you have an iphone in hand now, I would go and do the trade in in-store to lock in that price. They can ship to your home if it's currently out of stock.

There's a chance you'll be fine waiting till the 12th to do the trade in, but since part of it is a third party promo, you run the risk of them saying the BB value is guaranteed but the Google promo is over.

Ordered the 19th and received no confirmation of the order and no movement on the order when checking. Called and opened a ticket with the warehouse and disputed with PayPal. The company is charging peoples credit cards before even shipping. Shady business right here.

Yeah, that often happens when they first set up the shipment for the package. The info is in the computer, but it hasn't gone anywhere yet. The tracking will usually show up later once they pick it up.

I think most of the laws in this area go back to when "mail-order" meant physically sending a letter in the mail. I think they legally have up to 30 days or something like that to either ship the order or refund the money. It's not "standard business" for most on-line retail stores, but it's not quite "shady".
