You'll get charged the full price + taxes when making the order with a trade-in online. When you go in-store to pick up the new phone and trade in your old phone, they'll refund you the difference and with that, your taxes will also be adjusted according to the final price.

Source: I traded in my Pixel 6 for a Pixel 7 a month ago at Best Buy.

Please check again. These are the old trade-in values. They are now offering $460 for the iPhone XR.

With Best Buy, you get $50 more and you will know that the trade-in is accepted or not.

With Google, $100 store credit is not the same as $100 cash, unless you have a specific use for it. Having said that, there is an additional benefit from Google; if you pay for 2 months of "2tb google one storage at $9.99/month" , it will give you 10% store credit of what you pay initially (before trade in). Also, you will have to wait for the trade-in to be accepted.


Difficult choice. Bird in hand ...

Who knows, this seems more like Google sponsored trade-in offer so prob up to Google. They're just flooding the market with Pixel 7 so it doesn't bode well for its resale price down the road.

Got my st xr traded in today for the 7. Guy at the checkout didn't even ask me if it was a Verizon phone. He was super impressed at its trade in value though!

Went to do trade in today with Straight talk XR and said it is Verizon. They said it show up as Trace phone wireless not Verizon on the computer. That sucks! Trade in rejected

Has anyone noticed this - The P7P display colors are washed out. It is not vibrant like P6P and colors are not true. I wondering if it is just me or all the units have this issue. Anyone experienced please help and let me know. I wanted to return it to best buy saying it is defective but now they are asking for $45 restocking fee
