I had signed my mom up for Premium and I signed up for the Self Emaployed.
I saw my price when I went to start my taxes and had to fight with a couple of Taxact reps before they finally agreed to apply the discount to my acct to put it to the deal that I signed up for. He basically just applied a 50.00 discount which reflected before I efiled.
Then I was going to help my mom do hers, and her price went up also. So I can to call Taxact again and had to talk to 2 people before they too agreed to put the price at the price that we signed up for.
So I would say if price went up, call Taxact 319-373-3600 and I went to prompt that asks if 2022 question, then the next promp I selected billing. I think it was 1 then 2, or it night have been click 2 and then 1.
Fight for the prices promised and what you signed up for. You locked it in and they can't just increase the prices. They'll tell you prices went up but you're still getting half price, Don't let them get by with that.
With a little persistence, they will put a discount in your acct. After they do it, you won't see the discounted price until you get to the end where you're about to e-file and the price should show a discount. You won't see it in your return before you file. It'll still be the high price.
Anyway, that' s my experience.
I mean what's the point of signing and locking in a deal if they don't honor it. That's crazy and scammy.
I didn't need any screenshot but thankfully when I came back to this thread, it had the prices that I had signed up for so I just told them that's what I locked in.
I know it says to file by April 18th but just curious if I extend if I lose this for sure.

They kept saying that:
1. I had to pay up front (the offer had no such terms), and
2. They kept saying that they were allowed to increase the price since the time of the promo
I kept telling them that neither of those were in the terms of the promotion I signed up for and they finally relented.
So maddening.
(and by the way, this pretty much happens every f*ing year with them).
