So they're charging you an extra $10/month to "rent" their router even if you don't use it. Still seems like a crappy deal. Also, the GCs for the promos used to be Visa if I'm not mistaken. Now they're closed-loop (GrubHub, Doordash, Verizon).
Contacted them to complain and ask for them to apply this whole thing to me. They couldn't give me the gift cards etc, but offered to upgrade me to Gigabit + take my monthly rate down to $79.99 with a 10 year price lock. I said no, and then they final offered me to $74.99 a month for Gigabit for 10 years and I accepted. Not really too sad about it, as the $15/month discount would really save me $15 x 12 x 10 = $1,800 savings over 10 years versus getting the up front bonuses and paying the $90/month rate for 10 years.
So, big win here anyways.
