FWIW. I have 3 different nespresso vertuo machines and this one is by far the worst. Locking the capsule in is slightly awkward. The water container cap has fallen into the water tank several times while placing it back on. The used capsule container is small and tends to have a layer of coffee at the bottom of it because the machine does not do a good job extracting all the liquid from each pod. (the other 2 machines extract all the liquid from each pod so the used capsule container never has any liquid in it… A coworker of mine had her machine break twice on her (repaired under warranty) but she didn't want to be without her morning coffee so she just got a different machine and has said that the new machine is so much better than this one.

I don't use the milk frother but the misses uses it everyday. Totally worth it.

I've had a Vertuo machine for about 3 years now. I absolutely LOVE the espresso it makes. I bought my Vertuo when my Krups machine died after 20 years of great usefulness. the Vertuo makes a better espresso than the Krups. One key....I don't use the Nespresso coffee. Every so often, I buy a sleeve of Nespresso pods (Intenso 7.7 oz) just to get some pods and reuse them with my own espresso. They almost never wear out. Go on to Amazon and buy the My Caps silicone caps (they come in a set of 3...I don't use the paper liners that come with them) and I get a better double espresso than anything my Krups produced. I have used various different brands of espresso, For my everyday, goto espresso, I use Cafe Bustelllo, and it comes out just fine. I will use more expensive espressos on occasion, however, the gain in taste quality doesn't justify the difference in cost. Yes, there is a difference...but at 4x the price, I am happy with the Cafe Bustello. Medaglia Doro is another good "everyday" espresso. Everyone I have over and serve them my espresso ends up buying the Vertuo and the My Caps lids.

It is retail for like $70 but you usually just get it in the bundle I got mine last September 130 vertuo next with Milk frother from bed bath & beyond. U never know

I have been using the vertuo plus by Breville for 2.5 years everyday and the machine gave up yesterday. I am looking for another Breville model. I haf got mine from BBB for $110 with the frother. I think Breville machines are better than de longhi .

I bought an Amazon warehouse vertuo next with frother for around 110 after taxes. It was in like new condition. Came with pretty much everything including samples. The machine didn't even look used. If you take the time to look you might find something decent.

Based on a lot of YT reviews, that does seem to be the case. Breville/Sage, is better.
