These are good. The thing is everything has cons and pros. i have the wired bose earbuds, and they are very good, but they don't block out sound as well as the sony. the sony can block out a lot of the kitchen hood, but the bose can't. the bose wired is really old, and they dont even make them anymore. i use memory foam tips for the sony, and just the original silicone thing on the bose. The bose are tons better for walking and eating. it probably has something due to the forces and weight distribution which results in more movement in the sony causing terrible microphonics
If you're considering these be sure to look into reports of battery issues after 12-14 months. Solid buds with class leading noise cancelling and sound quality otherwise, but there are quite a few reports of dramatic issues after 12-14 months. These include uneven battery drain between buds and sudden drop off in play time as low as 30 mins.

The issue may be resolved but I don't think anyone knows for sure yet.
I purchased these at this price last month. Good to note that these arrive with the newest firmware which "might" have fixed the issue. My pair have been working flawlessly as my all day/dailies.

This is the lowest price I've seen these go on sale for. Best Buy has a tendency to pull these off and go back to $249.00 pretty quickly.
However, I would recommend some 3rd party memory foam tips.

They are good enough for airplanes, whereas the others were not.
