In my case I use Wifi calling when at home, so this will be a catch 22..
And pretty jittery.
In a good time, I get 50-80 down, and at most 10 up. Kinda painful for at-home office activity.
YMMV. Check your cell signal and call them to locate the nearest 5g tower, before making decision.

I've been curious and haven't bothered trying to find out if the home internet device acted somewhat as an amplifying antenna.. not necessarily for my cell phone but for the home internet. The sprint magic box made my sprint cell phone go from 0-5Mb down and 0-2 up usually to 15-50 down and 2-60 up.
I figured the potentially much larger antenna than my cell phone would provide better service.

Try switch the access point to 4G Lte. I was getting 50 mbps on my phone for 5g and a solid 138 Mbs with 4G. Think they reconfigured the tower or put a new one by me because I am now getting 475 Mbp on 5G.
