I bought the $188 one and it was trash. Straight-on viewing was ..ok... but anything at even a slight angle and it was awful. This is the 55S41 $188 on Nov 8 or thereabouts, that I'm micro-reviewing.

I took it back, and I'll keep using a 2010 Sony; the Sony was superior. Frown

I have a TCL 55" 4 series since they dropped to $299… like back in 2017. Used in bedroom so it's only straight - on viewing, room isn't large enough to test wide angles. But we have been very happy with the TV at price paid.

Same model but you get 40% more screen with only a 21% increase in price. So price per square inch of screen area is cheaper on the 65"

This is same model as 55" before. The BB one is series 5 QLED, so better panel, but it was GoogleTV. I prefer Roku.

Also the Walmart ones seem to be BF specific models. I purchased a 55" in 2020 and his has had zero issues. BB is better price for quality, but yes, sold out since yesterday.
BB $199 55" series 5 vs WM $188 55" series 4, or this 65".

Was never available for general public. Is this Target deal https://slickdeals.net/share/android_app/t/16216456 (65" Element with Roku for $229, pickup only) that much worse since there are tons of those available for now?

That google TV is actually darn nice and its fast, you can even make it faster within dev mode by disabling animation.
I purchased a few of them, the first thing they did when connect to the net was update to Google TV Pro 11, version 12 should be released in the coming months.
I also nabbed a couple of the $188 55" TCL from WM, there is nothing wrong with Roku either

I'm not sure if I'd take a chance on an Element TV personally. As far as brands go, they're one of the lowest of the lows. I skimmed through the reviews and lots of people are complaining about disconnecting issues
