Any idea if they make you jump through hoops to claim the warranty? I want to buy this but I am worried if they are going to make it difficult to claim anything.

Allstate/square trade does not make you jump through hoops.
If you need a claim they're gonna ask you to do a few things like try to reset etc.
At this price don't expect them to repair it, your insurance warranty coverage has a limitation of the price you paid for the TV which is just over $200.
So if they wanted to send out a tech there would be a service fee for that along the labor and the cost of part which would likely exceed your coverage dollar amount therefore what they'll do is your refund the price paid for the TV.
Over the last decade and a half I've had to make three claims and that's how they handled it and it's usually handled within hours not days.
They will offer you digital currency refund such as PayPal or you can have them mail a check.

Thanks. I went ahead and uploaded a copy of my receipt. That way if it does crap out in year 3.5, I won't have to go searching for it.

Thanks. I purchased the warranty. It said delivered but not sure what to do next. How do I link my TV purchase with the warranty?
Once I received the activation link, I just uploaded a copy of my receipt showing the purchase. If I need to file a claim between now and year 4, then everything is prepped.

We tried to do that, and are getting the message (as others have commented) that we have "no eligible products." How did you do it?? TIA!

TL;DR: probably fantastic deal for the price.

I got a 55S20 for this price on Black Friday 2020 (or maybe188, I forget). I am a semi-videophile (I noticed things but can't afford to buy to my standards :/).

Two years in, I am still impressed with it given the Black Friday pricing except for ARC audio drops with my receiver. I haven't put the work in to figure out whether it's the TV, the receiver or just the cable, so it's clearly not a deal-breaker Smilie but if it happens to you I would suggest dealing with it ASAP while it is under warranty.

Didn't fit in the back seat so had to put it in the trunk and tie the trunk lid shut. Pictures attached. Great TV!! Bunch of free channels and also can cast right from your macbook to the TV so its amazing.

Anyone else have a UPC sticker on the middle of your screen that won't peel off? Currently playing the goo gone game. I can't believe they thought that was a good idea!!

Sorry to break it to you (or maybe happy to break it to you?), but that's not the screen. That's a piece of plastic that covers the entire screen. Peel off the whole thing.

Wait, you guys peel off the protective plastic? Sounds too risky to me. How will I remember the energystar rating. I will say this, I haven't peeled anything off yet til I get it up on the wall. Once I do, I'll let you know if there if a plastic layer over the entire TV, because it looks like it's only around the edges of the TV.
