Depends on your triggers for motion detection and usage. My first blink is going on 4 years with oem batteries (mostly indoors, maybe average 15 motions/month); also have this doorbell for ~4 months & 50 triggers a day oem batts still good.

Prices for the Blink cameras were better during the Prime Day sale.

What's the battery life with battery-only?
Also, neglects to mention it requires Sync Module 2 for live view or on demand view.

live view works without sync module if its wired. You just cant record without a subscription if you don't have a sync module.

Also motion detection is really bad. Tons of false positives even when you disable regions. but for $35 I'm not expecting too much.

I have this as a doorbell at the front gate. Didn't get it for motion capture, just on the days the gate is locked and we get deliveries they can press the button to let us know. The battery for motion capture only lasted 4-5 months. A lot of motion capture per day. I'm thinking 30-50. If you want a motion capture camera I'd suggest something else. Even worth the sync module it's difficult to view videos. Or even when a notification pops up you click on it and it lags so much. And it doesn't always go to the video file just live view. so I stopped relying on it first motion capture and use my wyze camera for that. but it's a nice doorbell for use as an actual doorbell. haven't used the two way feature yet. they just ring the bell, drop the package, and walk away.

I will say also a big plus for this is it is battery powered so you don't need to worry about hard wiring it in. but use this as a doorbell not motion camera and you'll be fine. but there are better cameras out there, so says the others.

If I remember correctly you can hardwire this version in. But double check first.

I have a ring hardwired doorbell cam. I got for about the same price and haven't installed yet. Also have a ring security system . I also have a Blink video setup though and already pay the sub fee so which doorbell to actually use? 🤔

How the hardwire helps besides no need to change battery every feel months?

Totally not up to the expectations. The battery life is less, depends on the motion triggers. If you're kids playing basketball on the drive way it's like to exhaust in few weeks. Per customer care the triggers should be not more than 17..
Seriously??
The motion capture is as well limited to certain area definitely much lower. And has to be installed at a particular height. Too many cons.

Pro is easy installation that's it.

Yeah, but in my case I don't have any doorbell at the front gate. So I have to run battery operated. But most people would most likely use this to replace their doorbell.
