While I greatly appreciate the Husky brand's warranty and value, for simple "one piece" tools such as this Walmart's Hyper Tough/Hart seem a better deal (<$14) to me: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Hyper-...t=In-store
I picked up a set in Walmart with green handles for $9 and have been using them on general-light construction for 3 years now and they've held up flawlessly. They also keep friends and family from using my slotted screwdrivers (or even worse my chisels/drifts/punches) as pry bars, and are nearly impossible to bend out of shape (medium cheater bars added). Used to demo wood, and with sheet plastic as trim removal tools, and to bend and align heavier structures.
The advantages of the Husky set would be the metal striking caps, better warranty, doubtfully stronger steel, and slightly more comfortable grips but I don't think these are enough of a difference for me to upgrade from a cheap set.
These things are very handy. I own similar set purchased from Sears when it was still a B&M.
I used the large and med ones for auto repair, yard works, fencing works....
The bent 18" in the photos really sells it for me. Really though, the black handle Hypertoughs with the metal striking caps are GTG and made by an american company just branded for walmart. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Hyper-...hbdg=L1100
They look to be decent but if you are looking for a good deal you can get a similar set at Harbor Freight (item 58388[harborfreight.com]) for $14.99. Their coupons are a bit bleak these days but you might be able to find a percent off coupon on a 20 dollar purchase or something like that. Product details below:
Each bar in this pry bar set is built to withstand tough lifting, prying and positioning jobs. Each pry bar has a carbon steel square steel shank and a comfortable, ergonomic polypropylene grip. The pry bar set includes 8 in., 12 in., 18 in. and 24 in. crowbars.
I have this set and I've beat the snot out of it and it's held up pretty good. Some stuff at Harbor Freight is a no brainer and these are on that list. Any "low tech" manual labor tool from HFT is usually worth it, a hammer is a chunk of steel on a stick, this is a piece of thick metal with a plastic on the end, their bar clamps for wood working etc.
I have the Walmart mentioned here and also the Harbor freight ones. I was at the store checking these husky one and I'm highly considering them. They are thicker and have the striking head like mentioned.

I bought the Hyper Tough 25 and 17" from WM as they are made in the US.
