Lutron just updated to make the Claro and Diva lines smart (with the hub). Rocker switches, instead of the Caseta-style buttons.

Rock solid performance, build quality and top notch support if needed. It is the gold standard.

Not to mention they are not a drain on WiFi.

Things I don't like about these dimmers :
No adjustable ramp rate or instant on option.
No remembering last dim level.
double click the on button and it goes straight to full brightness, at least that's how it works on mine.

I just put a couple if the new rocker style Diva and Claro switches in last week - I much prefer the new style. They had a diagram to write the old mechanical 3way switches from the 90s and turn them into an input for the smart switch so I didn't have to replace both ends. The biggest PITA was that the in-wall switches are massive compared to normal switches, so getting them and all the wires back in the electrical box took some enthusiastic convincing.

I'm still waiting on them to release the rest of this line, however, as I think I'll need to buy a not -yet-released "accessory switch" product to get a 4-way hardwired solution (3 physical switches on a light.)

Grabbed locally in Greenville. Thanks OP. The store only had one switch, but as someone else mentioned, the cashier ordered me one to get sent for delivery tomorrow. Good deal.

The new ones are much better since they can remember last dimmer setting. I'm thinking about switching out all my old Casetas to the new ones.

This works for the wired switches but not the wireless remote for 3 way slaves.

Odd thing about these remote switches (at least the ones I have run across). They all require a third gray neutral wire in a typical 14/2 Romex (2 wire plus ground) to code single switch circuit. I have yet to run across a typical residential up to code wiring that has this third gray wire. The instructions insist you have an electrician update your wiring to include the third gray wire. Not sure if that's the case with these units, just a general caveat to at least check it out before you take the plunge.

Luron has switches and dimmers that require no neutral. My house, built in the 50's has no neutrals to anywhere we haven't done remodeling. The neutral-free dimmers and switches work perfectly.

If you have a neutral, you can save money on switches, but dimmers are typically the same price. The neutral required switches/dimmers work fine with standard wiring (no third gray neutral) as do TPLInk switches/dimmers as well. I haven't tried other brands

I am new to smart switches. How is Lutron different from cheaper alternatives like Kasa? I have a neutral wire.

I have primarily Kasa smart switches as well (except in closets) for a little over a year and have had maybe 5 issues with connectivity where I had to click the little restart button (WiFi gets wonky sometimes) but other than that, we love them!

Most things are on schedules like our front porch lights and hallway lights to come on at a certain time and it remembers last "on state".
