This looks similar to the insignia one. I personally don't like this style because it's a little inconvenient. With the basket you can shake your food or remove from cooking and everything stays in place. With this version you need to slide the tray out, but when you slide the tray out you can only slide it out half way otherwise it tilts down and falls. While sliding it out any grease or crumbs falls out, but it also falls into the gaps/creases where the door pivots. There's a strong smell in the insignia v, I left it outside a couple of times for like 30 min and the smell still lingered. After a while, the faint smell went away...

Other than the above, this definitely cooks better better then a 6-8qt basket because those are more vertical instead of horizontal. Didnt do exact measurements of units but visually this is probably a little taller while those are about the same width and around the same price on sale. With this, you can cook on two tiers and the air moves better. The top most rack cooks food faster so just make sure you watch it.

Seems like a great price for the large capacity. How does this compare to the similar size Sur La Table on on sale at Costco?

I think it's this one, on sale in the warehouse for ~$75:

Hope it's better because I personally did not like the Sur la table. But Gourmia air fryers at Costco are great so I might give this a shot

Awesome, thanks for the insight! I have a gourmia citrus press that I got on a stupid good sale a couple weeks ago and it definitely exceeded my expectations for the price. I might have to give this a shot.

Agree. Having used this style for the past 2 years and recently bought a traditional air fryer, they are night and day. The clean up aspect of the toaster oven style one is awful.. The air fryer crisp is much better in the traditional style over this toaster oven style.

It appears this style of air fryer is made under different brand names but by the same manufacture. They had a recall on several different brands for fire hazards. I had an Insgnia that I purchased last year from Best Buy that was recalled. They sent me a box to send it back and I was suppose to receive a refund. I never received my refund. Anyway, buyer beware.

My recall refund payment took 3-4 months from when I reported it. I had to contact them. They say the "refund clock" starts on the day they "log the return". Eventually got it, took the $50 credit, and used on a $50 Bella, two sided model. Works great. Just the right size for a couple. Sides can synch. Cleans easily. Contact them. You should get your refund.

I've only used this style air fryer and not the traditional one. My question with the traditional one is, is it just as versatile as the oven looking ones? (i.e. pizza, toast, quesadillas, bagels, etc.). I'm interested in the traditional looking one but I'm hesitant it would also work like a tiny oven.

Yes! Just not a whole pizza but you can put in pizza slices, toast, bread, all of that.

Just like the other Gourmia on sale at Walmart, this one is loaded up with fake reviews from the last 2 days.

FWIW, I bought the powerxl model like this last year. I liked it better than traditional air fryers. You don't need to turn it or toss the food around.
Also, air fryers are just convection ovens that were given a new name to make them seem like the next new best thing. That being said, if you ever have to replace your stove, just get one with the convection oven and skip the extra product.

Bought the PowerXL 12 qt last year as well, and it just died last week after daily use. Liked it so much, plan to purchase again, but with an extended warranty this time.
