The grey camo is the latest by eight months and if any of them are going to have the fix, if there even is one, I'm betting that one has it for sure. At least I'm playing it safe in my head by choosing that one. I got the Asurion 3 year insurance for 5.99 because shit happens.

The Best Buy product info shows the release dates for each.

White 10/30/2020

Cosmic Red 6/18/2021
Midnight Black 6/18/2021

Starlight Blue 1/22/2022
Nova Pink 1/22/2022

Galactic Purple 2/23/2022

Grey Camouflage 10/28/2022

We have a galactic purple along with a white and a black, and if you game a lot, you can tell that there's a slight difference in the feel. We actually haven't had issues with drift on any of our controllers, except the white one did when we first got it, but it hasn't been a problem in like a year.

So drift specifically? Can't really say, but the analog feel on the purple definitely feels just a little bit tighter.

LOL, so a hard no? You gamers out there, what headphone do you recommend for the PS5 that won't break the bank? He's 16, and he's had more than one headset break on him.
I guess just type in HeadPhone in search bar and pick one.

I think there are stores with display like Target where you can try them out

grey camo is the newest color right

does that mean stick drift should be better/fixed on it vs the other colors? (or does it even matter)

Nice find! Worth mentioning that PS5 controllers also work on PS3 (not on PS4!). It's hard to find new geniune dualshock PS3 controllers nowadays...

Super random but good to know! I still have my backwards compatible PS3 hooked up for the occasional PS2 or PS1 game I want to play over HDMI and with an OEM wireless controller. I'll be very sad when it craps out one day

Has anyone noticed with the Galactic Purple, Starlight Blue and Nova Pink, the difference with the more durable springs eliminating problems with drift?
I don't think the springs affect drift. But anyway I have a red that started drifting left recently

Thank you. He is a big gamer, so if it feels tighter, that's good enough for me, too. Anyone have any experience with the Sony Pulse headphones for the PS5? I know enough to realize they're not the best, but are they the best PS5 headphones going for $69?
Mines broke real quick under 6 months what can i say i have a big head and sony dont make headsets for big heads i lost count of how many golds i went through

I have the Drop x Sennheiser PC38X and a Razer Kaira Pro. I like both but slightly prefer the pc38x because it's wired, and I plug it right into the controller.

If he's tough on controllers idk what I would get him though. These are both over $100, even on sale. I still have the box for the Kaira Pro, I use it to store the headphones in. That one is really cool because it has haptics, the whole headset rumbles
