Probably, but their inventory may be relatively limited by then. The recon sale they had wiped out many of the higher demand tools.

I got scared off from the recon sale when a couple of posters said DTO 'recon' just means 'used'

From what the DTO people told me, that may not be far from the truth. Though, it seems like they were just returns, so their reconditioned tools are definitely YMMV.

I did pick up two recon octane impact wrenches because the people there sold them to me for less than $40, have yet to open them up though. But these wrenches go for around $80-100 used, so it was worth a shot.

EDIT: Can confirm the tools have been used, but they still function like they should, and they definitely cleaned them of with some serious chemicals as the plastic seems to be a slightly duller orange color. Both of mine look like they were used 2-3 times, and only have a couple of knicks on anvil housing. Luck of the draw I guess, especially when purchasing online.

I don't recommend this place they scammed me by sending a used lawn mower when I bought new. It had some damages and now after a few months I'm having issues with it. Also one of the batteries was completely dead on arrival. They did at least replace that. Customer service was abysmal to get ahold of someone 1-2 hour wait time every time I called.

What brand was the lawn mower? When you bought the mower was it sold to you as "factory blemish"? If it was ryobi "factory blemish" then it should get the same ryobi warranty as a brand new one.

It is Ryobi and when I bought it the item said new I even called them and they said it would be brand new just like in the box from Home Depot. After waiting a month and never shipped they changed my order to factory blemished with no notice to me and shipped it. I think it is under warranty but Ryobi said I need to bring it to Home Depot for a diagnostic test.

That is weird cuz I've never personally seen DTO sell ryobi product as "new", only as "factory blemish" and "factory refurbished"

Either way it you should have a full ryobi warranty.

Someone on SD told me that most "factory blemish" are actually new but because of some contract with home depot that they can't actually call it "new"

Not only are they new, but the retail packaging doesn't look like it was dragged down a 20 mile long gravel road... unlike Home Depot.

The only items they sell as "new" are consumable items, such as imapct bits or sand paper. The only two options for power tools and equipment are 'reconditioned' or 'blemished', so I'm not sure what you actually bought, or who you bought it from.

The common complaint about them is VERY slow shipping, and poor packaging quality. This is very much a store that rewards the people who visit their physical locations. They're much more lenient with their promotion qualifications, and they typically have unlisted items in store that do not show up online. They also have lower pricing on random items, and they will always match whatever the pricing is online if its listed at a higher price on their shelves.

This. None of their tools are marked "new". Even the stuff that is new.

Dude's just a complainer.

You probably bought from an ebay store with a similar name. Direct Tools Outlet doesn't sell Ryobi or Ridgid tools that are marked new - just factory blemished or recon. (Although factory blemished is basically new.) They do sell some bits and blades that are new though, just not tools.

Direct Tools Outlet often has long shipping times, sometimes screws up your order, charges a lot for shipping, does a terrible job packing reconditioned items, and often has a worse price than a good home depot sale. But they don't sell used items as "new" and if you're willing to call them enough, they'll generally make good on what they promised when they made the sale.

I can assure you I ordered directly from their site and I have the original order email still that shows the NEW label under the item. They do sell some new items on their site but not many. Was it a listing mistake? Probably. Just saying they are kinda a pain to deal with but if you save a lot of money maybe it's worth it.
