    2. Buy a decent hand grinder (cheap option) or a good burr grinder (expensive option)
    3. Buy a French press (simpler method) and/or a Hario v60 (more complex method)
    4. Watch Hoffman's YouTube videos on his method for French press or Hario v60
    5. Enjoy the best coffee at home

    EDIT: I forgot step 6, don't let COVID screw up your sense of taste and smell indefinitely. RIP my enjoyment of coffee...

    Under $15 is just fine. It's consistency that matters more. You want to be able to reproduce your desired coffee ground/water ratio results. 1g of coffee ground to 18ml of water is a starting point.
