For all your mission critical needs, KAIWEETS. Sorry, I meant KERTEETS. Or was it TAIKEETS? Oh man, maybe it's WERTEEKS. Anyway, it's definitely going to be an item that claims to do things.
I'm not sure why this deal is getting downvoted. I own this device, paid full price, and I wasn't disappointed in it. It's got over 16,000 reviews on Amazon and this deal puts it at about half off. So I'd say there are a couple of people out there that own them and have found them to be a good product even at a higher price.
I bought this earlier this year and it works fine.
It won't be rugged like more expensive units, but it has done what I need it to do and is way, way better than those tiny, cheap units at places like Harbor Freight.
I paid more than this and am really happy with the purchase.
I think they're both great deals and most people would find either one is great for general use, but I'd give the edge to this one.
For me, the HT118A using AA batteries instead of 9V is the most important difference. It also has a built-in flashlight, dual display, nicer-looking test probes and a place to clip them on back of the meter. The AstroAI has a magnetic hanger, an adapter to test transistors and connect k-type thermocouples, and the option for manual ranging (HT118A is auto-only).
Lots of Chinese meters have impressive value for money, and both of these are among the very best in that regard IMO

Chose this over this other one. No particular reason just a hunch: https://slickdeals.net/f/16200637-amazon-com-astroai-digital-multimeter-trms-6000-counts-volt-meter-ohmmeter-auto-ranging-tester-accurately-measures-voltage-current-16-99?v=1&src=Site
