I bought 5 headsets from best buy, all the top models they had. The arctis pro's were the best, then the Astro A40's. I kept both of those returned the rest. I would highly suggest these headsets, they're great. The 7X is probably the way to go price wise and it works on all the platforms.

I agree with you. Not many great deals anymore on Black Friday... Deals are 3 months long... Oct, Nov, and December.

BF is really more a week than just a day this year. many retailers are wanting to spread it out because there just isn't staffing to handle the madness of one day. more people are realizing they dont need to work those crazy traditional BF conditions of stupid hours and dealing with more irate customers. of course, this is mostly regarding b/m stores. but just food for thought re comment.

Arctis 1 is garbage. Don't waste your money.

Better deals on BF or not depends on the company. Last year I bought from Dell Early Black Friday and they dropped $40 more on BF. I bitched to them about false advertising and whatnot but ofc they don't care.

I've been using the Arctis 7 for a while now. On the plus side: the dials to mix game audio and chat are convenient and work pretty well. The microphone is also quite good, I probably use this headset more for work calls than for gaming. The downsides are that they're on the heavy side and tend to be uncomfortable during long sessions. The audio could be best, the bass is lacking, and IMO they work best for FPSs where you want to hear audio cues such as steps. To be honest I prefer to use a Sony headset I have when playing single player games and when I'm not using my headset to talk to other people.
