I actually have one 128GB and another 256GB version of it, purchased back in 2015. Since then, the quality control and the read/write speed has been decreased a lot and the warranty has been reduced from 5 years to 3 years to just 1 years for this model. Even today's basic Flash drives from brands like Team Group, come with 3 yrs warranty.

Instead of this, get the Team Group C186 or even slightly older C175 drives, costling less than this. Not inly you'll get better performance but lifetime warranty.

BH Photo Video appears to have a deal going on now for 128GB flash drives if you want USB 3.2. But it'll be a dollar more ($8.99), but if you pay with their PayBoo card it's tax free.
Kingston brand if you're okay with that.

What he said Smilie .. though if you're willing to go through the hassle and test the drives I was able to tell right away if the 2.0 usb drive version of this worked immediately by testing them in the PC and the ones that did work haven't failed me yet, have been using my pny usb 3.0 drive on a regular basis with no issues .. so it's pretty much a hit and miss you get a good one or not Smilie .. fortunately amazon has a great return policy though it could be annoying having to go to your local ups store to return say a single usb drive Stick Out Tongue depends on how many you purchase ..

I didn't know the team group C186 or C175 drives came with a lifetime warranty thanks for pointing that out Smilie

Yep .. exactly what you said. I have a few older models of this drive and they are fast. These newer replacements are slooowww. Go with another brand and don't waste your money on these.

I got this from the deal the other day and it's about as "get what you pay for" as expected. Ok read speeds, abysmal write speeds and probably abysmal durability (haven't had the best luck with pny flash drives in the past). I'm using this as a knock around Ventoy drive to fill with a bunch of ISOs. The transfer of the ISOs was so slow though, but hardly matters long-term since I'll be mostly reading off the drive.

PuNY is the Shittiest Brand that is out there with the worst (Sh!t) support. Team Group is much better brand and has proven US support. These Team Group ones are cheaper too.. And you can never have one of these anyways.

I also had a 128GB fail after 13 months of light usage. I wouldn't recommend PNY. If you do buy it, use it for unimportant data with the expectation this will crap out eventually.

Just bought one in person at Best Buy Saturday. This is the 2nd set of PNY Drives with horrific write speed I've had in the last two months. DO NOT RECOMMEND. This isn't a slick deal, sadly.

Never heard of "Team Group" before this thread. Legitimately curious, am I out of the loop, or is there some sort of weird guerrilla marketing going on here?

Anyone notice they named it a Turbo however, no mention of transfer rate. All reviews I've read with regard to the PNY's hasn't been good either. Similar to the Team Group I saw Mentioned in another post below. I would spent a few dollars more while flash drives are on sale and stick to a quality Flash Drive by either Second Choice SanDisk that's solid but 80 to 150Mbps as a rule and get a newer usb 3.1 or 3.2 type or First Choice a Samsung which are not only very solid and stand up to anything imaginable like Xray at an Air Terminal, magnets, run over by a truck heck, you bane it. They are 400Mbps as far as data transfer rates for the most part with a variety of options as far as Kind of USB a Usb A 3.0 3.1 and 3.2 Gen 1 and Gen 2. While on sale those are good choices. The Sandisk has Encryption Software for Security and Privacy and they will both last and you won't find yourself wishing you had gotten the other one that way wen a cheap, slow and unreliable most certain to fail and lose your data problem happens as you will find when researched. Spend an extra dollar or two because it's your Data. Buffalo drives are also a great fast reliable safe choice. Happy Holiday to all and make good choices when making those purchases when "IT'S YOUR DATA!" Good Luck Folks.
