BUT, I will say that a big downside is how hard the sleeping surface is. The pad is pretty thin and it's not recommended to use a pillow with it. Now our kid has a slightly flat spot on back of his head. Gonna have to get a helmet for him soon. I wont blame the snoo alone for this as we couldve probably done a bit more tummy time to counter this, but it's certainly not nearly as soft as a normal crib mattress or even our uppababy bassinet we used for the first few weeks.

I'd keep the money for this Snoo and instead, get a safe ~$100 bassinet (that will only be used until mom recovers from the birth) and redirect the savings on a nice crib (We went with the Stokke with all the expansion kits - lasted through 2 kids 2+ years each and still looks almost brand new), a couple nice stroller options that work for your life (we tried a combo of Baby Jogger and a BOB, but honestly sold them and went back to our cheapo combo of Chicco Urban and Activ3 because they were nice enough and both fit the Chicco Keyfit and we liked using the Urban and Activ3 even after the kids graduated from the Keyfit to the Diono Radian car seats), a good baby monitor (we landed on the Nanit), a good high chair (we used/use the Stokke Tripp Trapp), or a lot of other things before I'd tell someone to spend $1k on a bassinet.
I expect some thumbs downs. But just thought I'd take some down time on Thanksgiving eve to provide one parent's point of view
