We got this for baby number two because baby number one was an absolute nightmare sleep wise. Bought used as well. For us, this thing was an absolute game changer. Baby number two was sleeping through the night in no time while baby one took 6 months. We are in the midst of transitioning and it is largely without issue. One thing that i haven't seen mentioned is that in my case as in many cases, when you buy used it comes with accessories. In addition to the snoo, mine came with 5 or 6 sleep sacks which are $20 to $35 each and you can't use the snoo without them. Also an extra mattress. I also bought some additional accessories so I'm hoping to get near to what I paid when I sell. This may not work for everyone but for all the comments about being tricked into buying things we don't need, you're just wrong.

In this current state of heightened RSV the last thing is want to put my kid into would be something with fine mesh that was used by some other kid. If that $300 is worth it to you to roll the dice so be it; not I.

This terrorized my baby to sleep with those pathetic sounds and he never slept well for several years

I got one on FBM a couple months ago when we were going nuts with waking up multiple times a night to tend to our newborn. We gained at least a couple hours of sleep per day, which is priceless. Helped keep him down longer for sure.

BUT, I will say that a big downside is how hard the sleeping surface is. The pad is pretty thin and it's not recommended to use a pillow with it. Now our kid has a slightly flat spot on back of his head. Gonna have to get a helmet for him soon. I wont blame the snoo alone for this as we couldve probably done a bit more tummy time to counter this, but it's certainly not nearly as soft as a normal crib mattress or even our uppababy bassinet we used for the first few weeks.

Do the payment charge when it ships or when you purchase if you are delaying shipment until closer to a baby's anticipated birth?

We got this as a gift for our first one and it was a godsend. Gave us some valuable shut eye when the little one was younger. Only downside is the baby outgrows it so fast it's really only useful for a few months, but if you have multiple kids then it may be worth buying. We're expecting a second next month so will also use it for the second baby.

I had two of these for my twins, and frankly it's a gamechanger. It may seem like a lot of money, but if you can afford it, do yourself a favour and buy it. Sleep is far more valuable.

Appears to be at time of purchase. My charge already posted to my credit card. Not sure if that's because I added a white noise machine they make as well though.

Good price I guess for people wanting it. I've heard about it before but couldn't justify the price even for used or rental. I have a 5 month old and I don't complain about not sleeping. I'm used to binge watching shows til early am when I was pregnant so it came in handy with the baby. She's almost sleeping through the night now.

A great way to expose your new baby to excessive EMF radiation and annoy them with wacky sounds and movement while sleeping. There's no way that a baby gets more restful sleep in this thing than in a quiet room in a crib or regular bassinet. Not only that, you're teaching the baby to rely on rocking and sounds to sleep, so have fun when transitioning them out of this device.

I bought one of these new in 2018. Used it for 3 kids and sold it for $300 more than I paid for it a few months ago. All three slept great in it and now are great sleepers. It's worth every penny.

Skimmed the threads comments. As a 2X parent that owned a Snoo, I'm a little surprised how generally the Snoo gets so much universal support from other experienced parents - but kudos to you for finding something that works for you as we all struggle to be the best parents we can be with no right or wrong path. The deal itself is great relative to MSRP - if you have a ton of disposable cash, great - be like me and spend it on this and everything else fancy, unnecessary and regrettable I blew $thousands on like the Mamaroo, Owlet, this Snoo, etc. At least I tried and no one could say I didn't!

I'd keep the money for this Snoo and instead, get a safe ~$100 bassinet (that will only be used until mom recovers from the birth) and redirect the savings on a nice crib (We went with the Stokke with all the expansion kits - lasted through 2 kids 2+ years each and still looks almost brand new), a couple nice stroller options that work for your life (we tried a combo of Baby Jogger and a BOB, but honestly sold them and went back to our cheapo combo of Chicco Urban and Activ3 because they were nice enough and both fit the Chicco Keyfit and we liked using the Urban and Activ3 even after the kids graduated from the Keyfit to the Diono Radian car seats), a good baby monitor (we landed on the Nanit), a good high chair (we used/use the Stokke Tripp Trapp), or a lot of other things before I'd tell someone to spend $1k on a bassinet.

I expect some thumbs downs. But just thought I'd take some down time on Thanksgiving eve to provide one parent's point of view

The sounds and rocking motions are natural enough and also we had no issue transitioning out of the Snoo, but as with anything with babies, it's YMMV.
