Better deal, hear me out. What if you can buy a used one and then sell it back for 750?. Extra sleep for free!

Have one and it has saved my wife and I. This is a very good deal but you can find them in excellent condition on FBM for like $700-750, so after tax we're talking about a $300-350 discount over new for something you'll only use a few months. That may be worth the savings for a lot of people.

The sounds and rocking motions are natural enough and also we had no issue transitioning out of the Snoo, but as with anything with babies, it's YMMV.
There's also a weening mode that only rocks them/white noise turns up when the snoo detects the baby's up or crying. This was a godsend for us and helped us with training our 19-month-old, who now sleeps from 8 pm to 7 am in her own room.

Snoo was a huge help for us, if you are expecting ..its money well spent and you can get most of your investment back 6 months later. Sleep is important!

I don't really get this - most babies wake up to feed during the night, especially early on. Only babies that can get really long stretches early on are ones that are formula fed or if you have an incredibly good supply. We were living feed to feed - definitely no extra to help with that good sleep
Excellent point. Our challenge with our 2nd kid (6 weeks old) is not nap time. Its the schedule of feeding/nursing.

Aside from weddings β€” baby stuff is probably the second highest point of people spending based mostly emotion and "preparation" than actual need. We did lots normal sleep training and independent sleep with our toddler when she was a baby β€” and she sleeps like a champ now by herself all night. But every kid is different Smilie

Total worth it if you ask me. Can't put a price tag for all the extra sleep time for baby and the parent. Did I mention I sold mine for $1k.

If a newborn normal life is to wake lots in the night to feed in the early weeks/months, what is the point of this for stretched long sleep.I mean to ensures they get enough milk.

Has anyone used this on their first baby and not their second? Our first kiddo was a terror with sleep (3 now, still not great) but our second has been doing 2x 4 hour stretches since 6 weeks or so. I wonder how much of the effectiveness is actually due to more parenting experience. Anecdotally, all our friends with girls have had an easier time than those with boys as well. We considered getting one of these on FBM for #2, failed to pull the trigger, and it's been fine.

Thanks, wife is 4 weeks and I'm scared about losing sleep. Hopefully this will help.
I was on the same boat. Start planning your shifts. If you're going formula, it's so easy to schedule the shifts. But then wife wanted to go with breastmilk. I miss sleeping. This bassinet helps a lot.

Expensive but was totally worth it for us since we used it for 2 kids (4 months each), rented it out, and then resold it easily which basically came out to free. Life saver for us but doesn't work for everyone.

This is a horrible deal. You are better off looking in the classifieds or eBay for a used one at half the cost. I bought a used one for $550 and used it sparingly when my son was a newborn.

The setup is a bit complicated since the Snoo Wifi signal only connects to a 2.4GHz channel. If your Wifi router is using Dual Band (2.4GHz & 5GHz), it will not establish a connection with the app setup.

Keep in mind that the noise it makes while running cannot be turned off. I did not like the fact that it made my son's head swivel left and right even at the slowest speed. Please also note that the mattress topper is super thin which sits on top a hard board.

My personal rating: 4/10

I think a nice 150 Graco pack n play on sale decked out is a way better deal and far more portable and much longer useful time period.

I bought it. We got nothing to lose here besides the shipping if it doesn't work after 30 days or $350 if it does work and we resell it. Is it stupid expensive? Yes. Will it save me from a knife in my throat from my wife who is up all night with this disastrous baby? Maybe. I ca sleep through an earthquake so hopefully this can bring some relief to my wife.

We bought this 3years ago for around 1000 . I was pretty skeptical, but it had a moneyback guarantee so I figured I'd go along with this to make the wife happy. It actually worked for us. I figured we got about an extra 1-2 hours a night sleep extra for about 6 months before our baby moved to a normal crib. We turned around and sold it for 700ish on FBM. Best investment for sleep deprived parents ever..
