If you have a larger than average PSU or have many cables plugged in, you will likely have to slide the 3.5" HDD holder to the front most position. Doing so will likely cause you to lose the ability to mount a 360 rad to the front - just an FYI.

Or you can just remove the 3.5" HDD mounts altogether, assuming that you don't need them. That's what I did in mine. There's room on the back of the motherboard tray for a pair of 2.5" drives, and most motherboards these days have at least two M.2 slots on them. I'm sure that there's some people out there running mirrored 16TB hard drives in their local PC, but I think that most people by that point are looking at a NAS or some other external storage.

That's fair. Yes, you can remove the drive cage if you don't use 3.5" disks.

If you're using all SSDs you can totally remove the cage.

These are awesome cases, just fyi the black version has tinted glass and the white version has clear glass.

Yeah, that's the one thing that drives me nuts about these Corsair 4000/5000/7000 cases. I want a black case with a clear side instead of tinted, and while you can buy clear side panels from Corsair they still have a colored frame on the side panel, so the clear sides have white frames and the tinted have black frames.

The only other issue with the 4000D is radiator/AIO fitment. You can fit a 360mm rad + fans in the front, no issues. In the top you can put a pair of fans (120mm or 140mm), or a rad without fans (240mm or 280mm), but if you want a rad + fans in the top (and an AIO), you can't go bigger than 240mm AND you'll have to have low profile RAM like Corsair LPX. Otherwise it won't fit. Because of that I ended up upgrading to a 5000D so I could water cool both CPU and GPU, and the 5000D is freaking huge by comparison (which I don't like). But there's room for a 360mm AIO both top and front, so...tradeoffs.

I'm still rocking a Coolermaster HAF 932 that I plan on reusing for a new i5-13600k/RTX4080 build. Is there any reason to get a newer case like this? I don't need USB-C front panel and am not using AIO coolers. Don't care about RBG either.

every retailer has this deal. Corsair website also has it, and they have 15% discount codes for students. but the discount doesn't stack unfortunately.
