Great deal for a Nike cellular in 40mm. If you are looking for an Apple watch for younger kids instead of an all out phone the 40 is the way to go... the 44 is too big for a non teen. If you are looking for a 44 cellular Best Buy has the SE Gen 1 for $209. The Gen 1 came out two years ago and only difference is the chip inside. Most people won't notice the difference.

OP Here, That's exactly why I ordered it, the 40mm seemed like the right size for my pre-teen. It came in 2 days so now just have to stash it away until christmas (and figure out how to activate the cellular part)

Same here .. activating is pretty straightforward though as long as you are activating it using your own cellular provider. I think it's 10$ per month when you add it as a new number

Good deal! Got one for my 11 year old daughter. We already had one for her sister and can walkie talkie with her, see her on GPS, and we can make it literally just a watch during school time.

How are parental controls in general? Can you limit phone numbers to connect with via text/call etc?

Yep! On the parent iPhone, check out "screen time" for the kid on your family account. Go to contact management and you can control the contacts. I have me, her mom, grandparents, and neighbors on her watch and she can call them and only them
